I always try and get my first sweet pea crop for the following spring planted into the tunnel before Christmas. Sweet pea days are part of the rhythm that marks the turn of the year here on our flower farm. Sweet peas planted are a declaration of faith in the following spring for me, especially as we still have two weeks of darkening days until the solstice. Today I have called in the help of one of the kids and together we get the job done in just a couple of hours.
