The IIT Madras campus in Zanzibar, Tanzania—the first-ever international campus by any IIT—is rapidly expanding. With strong local support, the government of Zanzibar has allocated 200 acres for a permanent campus as the current facility reaches full capacity. The institute is also set to launch a new undergraduate program in Chemical and Process Engineering. Director-in-charge Prof. Preeti Aghalayam shares in an interview with @ThePrint’s Fareeha Iftikhar.
