This might sound weird, but we have no idea how words work.
And this fact (our ignorance) causes a lot of problems when learning Spanish.
At least it did/does for me.
Have you ever had a problem with "saber" and "conocer"?
Confused them with each other?
They both supposedly mean "to know".
But that's what I'm talking about!
"Saber" and "conocer" DON'T both mean "to know".
