#HurricaneHelene #WesternNC #Hurricane #Flooding #disaster This documentary captures the profound impact of Hurricane Helene on the communities of Western North Carolina, revealing both the staggering destruction and the resilient spirit of those affected. It tells the story of incredible volunteers from across the country who came together to help rebuild lives and bring hope. In our journey to offer aid, we recognized the importance of putting faces to both the unsung heroes and those living through the devastation. There is deep healing in sharing these stories, and our prayer is that this documentary serves as a testament to the real faces behind the loss and resilience. By creating a space for these voices, we hope it becomes a catalyst for healing and an invitation for others to hold space for one another in times of need. POEM Water, the thread of life so pure,   A crystal stream, a soft allure,   It feeds the earth, the roots below,   The gentle pulse, the steady flow.   Without it, death’s embrace is near,   The desert cries, the sky austere,   Life wilts beneath the burning sun,   Where once it thrived, now all is done.   But oh, the force when waters rise,   Beneath the storm’s unyielding skies,   It tears through lands, a wild refrain,   A flood of power, a path of pain.   It shapes the earth with quiet might,   In peaceful streams or raging night,   A giver, taker, breath and bane,   Both tranquil balm and driving rain.   In every drop, a story spun,   Of birth and death, destruction, sun,   The endless dance of ebb and flow—   Water, the life we cannot know.
