One of its most striking inhabitants is the blue-feathered hyacinth macaw. As well as being the world’s largest flying parrot, these macaws run a unique seed-distribution service that keeps the rainforest flourishing. But a catalogue of threats – from illegal wildlife trade to human encroachment – have made these forest gardeners endangered. And now they’re also facing fire . . . 🦜 Want to help?
