Sri Swayambhu Venkateshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vijaynagar colony, Mehdipatnam is one of the hidden gems in Hyderabad city. The temple has a unique history and sthala puranam. This is one of the oldest Swayambhu temples with over 400 years+ history in Hyderabad, Telangana. This temple is popularly known as Devuni Kunta Venkateshwara Swamy Temple by Humayun Nagar and Vijayanagar colony locals. Devuni Kunta is name of a lake located in front of the hill from where water is bought to worship Lord venkateshwara centuries ago.
Pilgrims can have darshan of Lord Venkateshwara through Utthara Dwaram which is known as Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam all 365 days. This is the only temple where pilgrims can walk through Vaikuntha Dwaram for Lord Balaji darshan all 365 days. Every month, Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam is performed on Sravana Nakshatram day in temple premises followed by Annadhanam.
