My Pretty Purple Smoothie (recipe below) offers Hyper Nourishment under Dr. Goldner's protocol, which requires 3 simple things daily:
1) 1 pound deep raw leafy greens or cruciferous veggies (eaten as salad or crudities, etc, OR as a smoothie)
2) In healing mode, 1/2 cup flax or chia seed (ground in smoothie, or just before eating), or
3 tablespoons cold pressed flax or chia oil.
3) Unless medically inadvisable, 96 oz to 1-gallon of water per day (includes the water in the smoothie).
She works with kidney patients to get this right when inadvisable.
My Pretty Purple Smoothie covers all of the basis, though the full volume of water, beyond that in the smoothie, still needs to be consumed. I drink this all day, until mid/late afternoon. I also have a salad for lunch, and now that I am on 'step down', a varied whole food plant based dinner. For ideas see Dr. Goldner's Goodbye Lupus Hello Delicious Cookbook: https://amzn.to/3zWTZPD
Pretty Purple Smoothie Recipe: (All is variable based on taste, so try this, then play!)
Fill carafe 75% by volume, of leafy green/cruciferous mix; up to 25% by volume of fruit. The amount in this recipe fills my 64 ounce Vitamix carafe nearly to the top.
13 oz purple cabbage, lightly chopped, or fill carafe 75% full by volume
3 oz spinach or kale (I prefer spinach)
6 oz frozen dark berry mix (I used Costco's blueberry, raspberry and blackberry mix)
2 1/2 frozen very ripe bananas (about 10 oz)
1/2 cup whole flax or chia seed (I mix 1/4 cup of each)
Fresh ginger knob, about the size of my thumb
Large lime, ends cut off and quartered, or 2 - 3 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
Water up to line of fruit (usually 38-40 oz, add more while blending, if necessary
Blend 2-3 minutes.
ENJOY!
