After six days, the Langtang Valley hike came to an end. #nepal #Langtang #Trekking #Himalayan
I spent $136.5 all the way through.
This includes permits and transportation.
Let me briefly talk about the route and expenses I made:
First of all, you need to get Tims Card and Langtang National Park Permit from Tourism Board in Kathmandu or Pokhara before you start this walk.
These cost 5000rupees ($41).
Have two passport size photos and passport with you when you go.
DAY 1: Kathmandu - Syabru Besi
The bus left at 6.00 and we reached the village of Syabru Besi, the starting point of the trek, in exactly 10 hours. I spent the night at Village View Guest House in this village.
Bus:850Rupees
Lunch: 120 Rupees
Accommodation: 300Rupees
Tea: 120Rupees
------------------------------------------
Total: 1390 Rupees ($11.50)
2 DAYS:
Syabru Besi - Lama Hotel
The first and, in my opinion, the hardest day of the hike.
You ascend from Syabru Besi at an altitude of 1455 to Lama Hotel village at an altitude of 2465 meters.
I walked in 8 hours but I spent a lot of time taking photos and videos.
As in other villages on the way, I did not pay for accommodation here either. If you say, "I will eat dinner and breakfast here" when you arrive at your accommodation, they do not charge you for accommodation.
Breakfast: 200
Lunch: 560
Dinner: 600
Tea: 400
--------------------------------------
Total: 1760Rupees($15)
3 DAYS:
Lama Hotel - Langtang
You ascend from the Lama Hotel at an altitude of 2465 to Langtang at an altitude of 3500 by the creek. It has a medium difficulty.
Accommodation is free
Breakfast 450
Lunch: 750
Dinner: 500 Rupees
Tea: 240
--------------------------------------
Total: 1940Rupees(16$)
4 DAYS:
Langtang - Kyanjing Gompa
11/03/2022
It was the easiest and most scenic day.
As the name suggests, the Langtang Valley hike takes place inside a valley.
Kyanjing Gompa is also the last village of this valley. After this village, the mountains begin and behind those mountains is Tibet (China).
Breakfast: 500
Dinner: 500
Tea: 240
--------------------------------------
Total: 1240 Rupees($10)
5 DAYS:
Kyanjing Gompa - Tserko Ri
In fact, when you come to Kyanjing Gompa, you complete the route. What happens next is up to you. If you want, you can go back the way you came or climb one of the hills of Kyanjing Ri(4604m) and Tserko Ri(4985m). You can go to both if you want.
I chose to go to Tserko Ri because you can see the most beautiful view there. But the hike takes 7-8 hours and the height towards the end makes you a bit tiring. Don't forget to take water and snacks with you.
After reaching the summit, I went back to Kyanjing Gompa.
Breakfast:500
Dinner: 500
Toothbrush and paste: 300
Toilet paper: 200
--------------------------------------
Total: 1500 Rupees(13$)
6 days:
Kyanjin Gompa - Bamboo
Now is the way back. You will go down all the way you came out. You can land comfortably in two days. I came all the way to Bamboo, but you can stop at Lama Hotel and continue the next day.
Breakfast: 500
Lunch: 500
Evening: 500
--------------------------------------
Total: 1500rupees($13)
7 DAYS:
Bamboo - Syabru Fattening
I finished the rest of the way today and will be back to Kathmandu by bus at 07:00 tomorrow morning.
Lunch: 300
Tea: 300
Accommodation:300
Dinner: 300
Bus: 850
--------------------------------------
Total: 2050Rupees($17)
