Throughout my 12-year career in the music industry, I've pretty much stayed in my lane of pedals, pedalboards, and guitar accessories. However, it's always been my dream to build a top-shelf tube amplifier resembling my favorite amplifiers of all time.
The Doctor's Special Rx Custom Clean is my take on the beloved Dumble Steel String Singer amplifier in a half-powered (50W), light-weight (35 lbs.), and portable package. The Doctor's Special stays true to it's D-style inspiration while making tweaks and mods for the modern guitarist, optimizing it for the ultimate clean pedal platform. It is a hand-wired tube combo amplifier loaded with four 12AX7A preamp tubes, one 12AT7 tube (reverb), and two 6L6GC power tubes. The Doctor's Special features the industry's best, "MOD" Spring Reverb (with send and return controls), a Celestion G12-65 speaker, and much more!
