The process began with a hand-carved foam form, reinforced by an internal steel armature, and fully encased in fiberglass for durability and strength. The dragon’s textured scales were meticulously created using recycled tires, adding both visual depth and environmental significance. Intricately hand-carved wooden elements bring added character, forming the horns, claws, and tongue. Commissioned as a custom piece, this sculpture represents the mascot of a major brand, embodying both powerful symbolism and sustainable artistry. 00:00 Intro 00:26 Starting 01:14 Banana Slug? 02:00 ROAST ME! 03:06 Who is this for? 03:40 Foam Carving 06:00 Tail 06:53 Carving tools 07:32 Wings 09:55 Spray Foaming 11:30 Fiberglassing 13:00 Dragon goes for drive 13:24 Spikes & Pedestal 14:40 Eyes 15:20 AD 16:29 Clay 19:00 Spikes 19:36 Claws & Tongue 20:33 PROBLEM 22:05 Fins? 23:56 Tires 26:04 Clay wings 26:55 Paint 27:32 HELP ME! 28:15 Mistakes were made 29:13 Trying something new 30:00 laser beams 31:14 Shipping dilemma 33:00 Reveal
