This time I had to do the work of trimming a beech hedge at the first client, who turned on the recamendation of his kinsman, and in another place I needed to clear the thickets near the fence, next to the railroad.
Arriving at the first client I immediately saw the hedge, which was about 15m long and about 3m high, the client immediately indicated to me his wishes for pruning and I started to work, at first I used a telescopic trimmer on the neighbor's side, but when I went around the other side, I realized that I needed to cut a lot more and needed a more powerful trimmer, so I used a Stihl HS82R, I also shortened the hedge to about 1.8m and that was probably the hardest part of the job, but with a powerful trimmer I was able to do the job very quickly. There wasn't really that much work to do and it took me almost 2 hours.
But on the second yard, I had to sweat, because in addition to clearing bushes, I had to remove several bushes and a small tree with the root, besides the passage to the yard was available only through the basement of the house and I had to carry it all to my trailer.
I started by removing a small apple tree, then started clearing the bushes, I also tried to dig out the root with a shovel, but realized it was not so easy, so I just cut everything leaving only the trunk. There were a lot of shrubs, hedgerow, ivy rhododendron and many other things, but the owner asked me to remove all this and only big trees were to remain, which acted as noise insulation, as there is a railroad nearby and trains run every 15 minutes. When almost everything was done I moved everything to my trailer through the basement and I still had to remove the roots, but just the other day I finished the winch tripod which is designed for this job so I left and brought it.
Having prepared and placed it over the root of the bush, I hooked it and began to pull, my inner delight was unbounded, though I did not allow myself to show it, as the root came out of the ground with such ease that I could not believe it and did not know why I had not done it before. The second root was removed just as quickly, but I had to work hard to get the third one out, I even used an axe to cut the roots. The hardest part was pulling the chain, maybe it would have been easier with a helper, but you could see how slowly the root was lifted out of the ground and it was a miracle as I couldn't imagine how long it would have taken me with a shovel and pickaxe. After 30 minutes all the roots were removed, then I loaded everything onto the trailer and, I even decided to show you the narrow corridors I had to carry everything through to the trailer. Finally, I used the trimmer to cut all the ivy and weeds and then raked everything into bags.
This job took me about 4 hours with the trailer fully loaded.
