We need to be aware of how God presents Himself in Scripture, because sometimes during evangelism the person will describe that "the Lord is not saving me." Which could lead you to wrongly think God is standoffish, cruel, and not wanting to save them. When in truth that is not the case, and that is not how we find the Lord in Scripture. Rather the problem is with the person and their rejection of the free offer of the Gospel. As Jesus says in Luke 14:18, "But they all alike began to make excuses."
