I've been filming myself on gigs to make gig vlogs and every time I sort through the footage I'm forced to listen to myself play. This is usually a rather painful experience but it brings to light all of the things I need to work on. I thought I would make this video to document where I'm at with my playing right now and what I'm trying to improve since I'm learning so much on gigs lately.
I sometimes get comments from younger musicians who compliment my playing and so I think it's good to show the many things I need to work on. Also, when I was in high school I would binge watch Bob Reynolds gig vlogs to see the life of a musician. They're great, but sometimes I felt so far away as he was on tour with Grammy winning bands and playing with some of the best musicians in the world. Of course this is where I want to be someday, but I never got to see how he got there and what he was doing just out of school. So mostly this video is for me to document what I'm doing at the early stages of my career. Hope it's of some interest to you! Thanks for watching:)
