Super Mario, 64, is probably my favorite game of all time. It's insane to me that this game pioneered the 3D platforming genre. despite its flaws, still holds up in his beloved by many, almost 30 years later. This game is mostly kept alive by speed. Runners who break this game to its absolute limits, and modders who make ROM hacks in their own games using the Super Mario 64 engine. But there's a smaller, more niche subset of retro game fans that keep old games like Super Mario 64 alive in a more unique way. which is where retro achievement started, where it comes in. Fans of retro games took it into their own hands to create achievement sets for their favorite games from the past. And to my delight, there's actually a pretty in-depth achievement set for this game. I took it upon myself to completely master this game that I've played hundreds of times.
