I began my solo journey in early April 2024, tackling the Three Passes Trek surrounded by the massive peaks and stunning landscapes. Since Everest Base Camp was just an extra day, I decided to include it in the adventure, even though it wasn’t a major highlight for me. I started my journey from Kharikhola, acclimatized in Dingbuche with stunning views of Ama Dablam, and crossed the Kongma La pass. The path to Everest Base Camp was really beautiful, surrounded by giants like Nuptse, Pumori and many more. Then, I crossed the Chola Pass, passed the beautiful Gokyo Lake, and tackled the final Renjo La Pass before hiking back to Kharikhola. ► FAQ: Q: IS IT TRUE THAT YOU CAN ONLY TREK IN NEPAL WITH A GUIDE? A: While there is a law mandating that trekkers in Nepal must hire a guide, it wasn’t strictly enforced when I visited in April 2024. I personally confirmed this with the national park office in the Annapurna region, where no guide was required. Similarly, while trekking through Sagarmatha National Park (Everest Base Camp), no one enforced this rule. That said, enforcement can vary, and future policies may change, so it’s always a good idea to check the latest regulations before planning your trek. Q: HOW DO YOU HIKE ALONE IF SOMEONE IS RECORDING YOU? I use a tripod, which is why most shots are static except for the handheld ones. This approach makes the hike more challenging and time-consuming, as I need to go back and forth to collect my gear. ► FEEDBACK If you enjoyed the video, please like the video and subscribe to my channel.
