In July of this year, I decided that I wanted to learn the name and location of every county in the United States. I believed that doing so would allow me to test the limits of my memory, but also gain a deep understanding of this country and the different regions throughout it. Now when someone tells me the city they're from and I don't know the location of it, I can stare at them awkwardly and ask what country that city is in instead.
