Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Those who do sewing and handicrafts know that they cannot do without waste. What remains from knitting is yarn, and when sewing clothes - scraps.
Any creativity requires expenses, and after it there are
surplus.
Different pieces of fabric are the same valuable material from which you can make things in the style of patchwork, Grazy-patchwork (when the flaps do not need to be folded in a strict order, the pieces of fabric can be of any shape).
Even from small pieces of 1 centimeter you can make a canvas. To do this, you need to lay them out on fabric, iron them and quilt them.
Typically, in patchwork, each piece is sewn right sides together. The seams are on the wrong side.
There is another method that I have been wanting to try for a long time. Here are small square and rectangular pieces of fabric of different sizes. They are placed next to each other, but one piece overlaps the other.
I saw such sewing on the Internet, but it was not clear how to start working.
Now I figured it out and understood what was what. There is a certain order here, first you need to make the first row.
- For this you will need a base - any piece of fabric onto which the rectangles will be attached. On the edge of the fabric, I placed the fabric so that the side of the next piece overlaps the previous one by about 1 cm or a little more, the main thing is to cover one side.
- This overlap is sewn with a curly stitch. Modern sewing machines have a large selection of them. To make it easier to stitch, I placed a web of tape under each piece and smoothed it with an iron.
- Next comes the second row, but now each square or rectangle is attached separately.
It can be placed higher or lower, to the right or to the left.
- This piece should lie on top of the previous pieces. The line is laid where the new part comes into contact with the old one.
- Thus we end the row and start a new one.
I sewed a seat for a chair.
In this style you can sew any textile product, even blankets and bedspreads.
