Can you turn a cheap £150 guitar into a professional, road-worthy, custom-shop-style guitar for £500… ALL IN? Well over the next couple of months, that’s exactly what we are going to find out. In each episode of this guitar build challenge I am going to change, mod and quite frankly butcher each individual part of this Harley Benton and hopefully make something really special. All the way from the pickups, hardware and even the finish. But I had to set myself a budget, because otherwise this whole thing could get out of hand quite quickly. So I have £500 to spend including the guitar!
In this episode I will be completely stripping off all of the factory paint, refinishing it with some proper nitrocellulose and finally attempting my very own custom-shop relic.
