The plan was to convert an old 90's mountain bike to fit modern thru axle wheels. The idea behind this project was too save a few grams on my bikepacking setup by using my lightweight carbon fibre wheels off my XC bike. I filmed a little bit of this project every time I visited my parents. After 6 months had past I had only completed the forks. I decided I wanted to try them and move on from this edit so here it is. Half the project.
This video is how I converted some old forks to fit a 650b wheel with a decent tyre size.
If you want to know where I got the disk brake tab measurements from.

I got this link from Cobra Frame building YouTube channel. They have some good info https://youtu.be/gr8ths8B0fk
Edit: That link above to the original disk brake tab PDF doesn't seem to work anymore.
I've saved a copy on my own google drive.

I really know nothing about frame building and this was my first attempt at doing anything like it. It was fun, one day I'd love to build my own bike.
