Well guys, after many unanticipated delays, my next big video containing my reviews of every single Sonic game ever made is here (or at least part 1 is). This project is one I hold very near and dear to my heart, given that Sonic is one of the first ever franchises I ever became a fan of all the way back in 1999.
I had originally planned for this to be a singular video that would be around 10 hours long and cover the entire history of Sonic the Hedgehog, but after getting into the thick of it I began to realize that a goal like that was completely unfeasible. At first I thought I bit off a bit more than I could chew with this idea, but I quickly began to challenge myself to pull this off, and I think I did a pretty good job.
That being said, as you can tell by the title of the video, this is only part 1 in a 3 part trilogy that I intend to release, covering every game from Sonic 1 all the way up to Sonic Shuffle. Part 2 will pick up with Sonic Adventure 2 and carry on through the 2000s until the early 2010s, and then Part 3 will cover everything from that point up to the present day, so I hope you're looking forward to those videos as well (after you finish this one of course lol).
I also went back and forth about whether I wanted to cover other Sonic media in this video seeing as I probably wouldn't ever really find another opportunity to talk about this stuff again, and I ultimately decided to include them just as an added bonus. So yes, moving forward I will be covering the remaining Sonic cartoons, the Sonic movies, Sonic comics, a few more Sonic albums, animated shorts, and more. I'm also covering a ton of cancelled projects as well because I find those super fascinating, so hopefully those things spice things up a bit in the video.
My goal with this was to create the most comprehensive video series on everything Sonic the Hedgehog (officially released, anyways) and so far I think I've done a pretty good job. Feel free to leave your insight in the comments though; since this is only part 1 I have plenty of time to make adjustments and improve for parts 2 and 3, which I've already begun working on. Definitely open to any and all input, so please let me know.
