After four years of basic service to the combine, I knew some things really needing repair, and it was going to be an expensive year for the combine. With the help of our neighbors Mark and Bryce, we were able to do some of the work ourselves on it! The entire feeder house needed rebuilt, clean grain elevator replaced, unload auger replaced, corn head stock rolls replaced, slip clutches and many more repairs! We got it all done and are prepared for Harvest. I pulled some ears out of the hybrid plot to see how things look this year. I think there will be some unbelievable yields this year on certain parts of the field, and then where there were drown-out spots, it will really kill the field average. Thanks for watching!
