Dwarka is an ancient and sacred city, known as the legendary kingdom of Lord Krishna, yet there’s so much about the city that is yet to be discovered. It is not just a spiritual destination but a unique blend of history, mythology, and maritime mysteries. As one of the Seven Saptapuri pilgrimage, and one of the Char Dham, the city is also home to the revered Dwarka Sharada Peeth. This is my last of the seven part Saptapuri series and I can say one of the closest to my heart as well. I truly committed myself to each of these seven cities and did my best to capture the soul of each place, but with Dwarka the city touched my soul as well. I felt so calm and relaxed there, and spent many days in the city, and eventually left because of another project. But I do feel a deep calling and I’m sure I’ll be back again, because there’s more that I want to explore there. Maybe this film is just the start… 00:00 Introduction 00:40 Journey from Ahmedabad to Dwarka 02:01 History of Dwarka 07:58 Chapter I - The City of Krishna 10:32 Dwarkadhish Temple 15:18 Rukmani Mata Temple 16:48 Shri Ram Temple 17:51 Siddheshwar Mahadev temple 18:28 Samudra Narayan Temple 18:46 Bhagwat Saptaham 20:08 Shamalshah Sheth Temple 20:28 Dinner at Shreenath Dining Hall 21:38 Swaminarayan Temple 22:31 Tula Daan Temple 23:45 ISKCON Temple 24:10 Dwarka Lighthouse 25:15 Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple 26:17 Dinner at Gugli Brahmin 505 27:93 Chapter III - Story of River Gomti 29:10 Gomti Boatride to Panchkui Island 29:57 Street food of Dwarka 31:51 Chapter IV - Beyt Dwarka 33:00 Visit to Nageshwar Nath Jyotirlinga 34:41 Hanuman Dandi Temple 35:44 Gurdwara Bhai Mohkam Singh Ji 36:49 Dwarkadhish Temple 39:38 Dwarka Beach ► LOVE OUR MUSIC? Use my special link to get TWO months free when you sign up for a year! https://bit.ly/3QaZG1g I spent a week together in the Dwarka and Beyt Dwarka and still felt it wasn’t sufficient. The film on Dwarka Nagri takes a detailed look at the history of the city which seems to be the oldest among the Saptapuris as per the current archeological records. This is the first travel film where I delved deep into the history of the place, including underwater archeological findings. A new underwater excavation has just been taken up in Dwarka after a break of a few years and we’ll certainly have new insights about the city and its history.
