This ambitious plan, championed by Mahathir, aimed to transform the area into a bustling economic hub. However, what was once filled with promise has now become a ghost town, with only a few people left living in this vast city.
I take you through the empty streets and abandoned buildings, uncovering the real-life struggles of the few remaining residents. Through interviews, I explore how the economy and businesses in the area collapsed, especially following the global pandemic, leaving behind this eerie, forgotten city.
