When Americans first think of Manila, they probably don't think of skyscrapers, luxury condos, and infinity pools. The upper class neighborhood of Mandaluyong is home ballers, Filipino celebrities, and it shows that Manila is a city on the rise.
Today, I'm exploring Bonafacio Global City (BGC), one of the most popular and energetic mall areas in all of the Philippines. I'm challenging myself to only eat and drink the foods that locals recommend to me, which quickly turns out more difficult then I thought.
Along the way, I might some really nice people, eat some amazing traditional Filipino food, and also take a detour to see how the less-fortunate people live.
