Wilhelm Schneider, born on March 2, 1919, joined the Leibstandarte in Berlin in 1937 after completing a three-year apprenticeship as a waiter. In September 1937, he was assigned to attend to foreign guests at the Nuremberg Party Congress, bringing him into close proximity to Hitler.
In his role as a waiter, Schneider was later deployed at state receptions in the Reich Chancellery and the Führerbau in Munich, until he was transferred to Berchtesgaden to the Berghof as an orderly in July 1938.

Until 1943, he traveled as Hitler’s personal orderly between the Berghof, the Reich Chancellery, and various Führer headquarters, getting to know his "boss" up close. As a member of Hitler's inner circle, Schneider witnessed conversations and actions that remain hidden from historical accounts to this day. A highly interesting interview documentary with a runtime of 60 minutes.
