Carbon markets are at an inflection point. Lack of clarity on corporate use of carbon credits and delayed Article 6 negotiations continue to undermine confidence in carbon markets, among other bottlenecks. However, there have been concerted efforts by multiple players over the past year to bring the necessary clarity and strenghthen the enabling environment for carbon markets. This session explored how the markets are responding to these developments and discuss the current landscape and insights from the latest World Bank’s State and Trends of International Carbon Markets report, leading market intelligence providers and subject matter experts.
