MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 3/4 inch flat bristle, #6 round synthetic, #2 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, burnt umber (brown), mars black, raw sienna (yellow), fire red and cobalt blue
Other: #2 pencil cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes
STEPS:
1. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat on canvas with black, white and blue
2. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint sky and 1st layer to landscape with light blue (made in step #1), black, brown, white and blue
3. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint distant landscape with gray (made in step #2), light blue, white, brown and black
4. pencil -- Draw outline for boy fisherman
5. #6 round brush – Paint base coat for fisherman with black, brown, yellow, white and red
6. #2 round and 3/4 inch bristle brushes – Finish ice with white, blue, brown, light blue and gray
7. #6 round brush – Paint 2nd layer on fisherman with light brown (made in step #5), brown, white, black, dark blue (made in step #6) and gray
8. #2 round brush – Paint fishing pole and finish boots and glove with black, brown, white, gray, light brown, and dark blue
9. #2 round brush -- Finish hat, face and breath with light blue, white, black and brown
10. #6 round brush -- Finish pants and jacket with black, white, gray, light blue, dark blue and brown
11. #2 brush -- Sign with light blue and white
