Iceland is often referred to as the ‘last adventure in Europe’ and that's a good description. Whether spectacular waterfalls, hot springs or spewing geysers, Iceland is pure nature and you have to want to experience it. Because the island gives a lot, but also demands a lot. The changeable weather conditions can be very demanding. The road surface changes as quickly as the weather. With the exception of the completely tarmac ring road, you will find everything from fine gravel tracks to heavy corrugated iron roads.
In the second part of our Iceland trip, we not only stand in front of the mighty glaciers of Iceland, but also watch the hot lava flows in the south of the island - we really are travelling between fire and ice.
