Just a few moments we captured as Megan and I make our first SnF bikepacking race attempt.
This year was a reroute (Fire 'n Fire) out to Redfish Lake and back due to wildfire activity along the normal SnF route. What an amazing experience - we loved getting to explore new parts of our state on our bikes. I think the Deadwood area was our favorite, but the entire ride was a constant highlight reel of Idaho's natural beauty.
We made new friends and met lots of great riders along the way! The out and back format this year allowed us to see everyone else out on the trail at least once which was fun. The smoke and air quality got significantly worse overnight while we were in Stanley, so we took it slow that day hoping it would improve. Thankfully it did and we were able to push back into Mordor the next night which set us up to finish the following day.
