Do you really know how to identify crabgrass in a lawn? Most people think they do but in actuality, crabgrass can look slightly different in different lawns and at different stages of maturity.
Many people don't even realize there are different types of crabgrass or that an infestation of crabgrass can almost look like a healthy mat of desirable turf grass.

Because I only have a couple smallish patches of crabgrass and a few spots here and there of persistent nutsedge I decided to use a hose-end bottle of Spectracide w/ Quinclorac. The Quicnclorac is what kills the crabgrass, the sulfentrazone attacks the sedges, and the other ingredients target the broadleaf weeds.
Nothing in the bottle is very potent so you won't get a full kill but for the price, simplicity, and broadspectrum focus of the product it made sense for me.
For truly bad cases of crabgrass then a straight Quinclorac application would be in order for most lawns except for St Augustine and Centipede.
