Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) 2002 Dodge Dakota 3.9 Stalling

Stalling in low idle conditions, shifting from forward to reverse or from park to drive, etc. is typically caused by the IAC. Replacing it is fairly straight forward.

This is one of those conditions that the on board diagnostics (the engine light) or an OBD reader does no usually detect (because it typically only detects a complete failure condition and not intermittent problems)
