How to make Hotel sambar at home ?
ஹோட்டல் சாம்பார் வீட்டில் செய்வது எப்படி ?
Rathna Cafe Tiffin Sambar:
100 gm Door dal+100GM's Moong dal+ 150 GM's yellow Pumpkin+ 1/2 TSP Turmeric powder+ 5 drops Oil. Boil for 45 minutes or or 6 whistle in cooker.
To make Sambar Powder:
50 GM's Toor dal+ 30 urad dal+30GM's Bengal gram+5grm Pepper+5grm Cummins seeds+5grm Fenugreek 10 Dry chillies+ 15 grm Coriander seeds Dry fry until Golden colour finally add 1/4 cup Gratted coconut fry until coconut getting dry. then cool it Grind as coarse Powder.
To make Sambar:
2 TSP oil+ 1 TSP mustard seeds+1 TSP Urad dal+4Dry chillies+100 gms Shallots+curry leaves+vegetable (optional)+150 Tomato. saute for 10 minutes+ Boiled and meshed Dal+ required water+ Salt boil for 15 minutes+ Sambar Powder+ 25 gms Jaggery boil for 5 minutes.... finally Pour chopped Coriander leaves and Ghee. Rathna Cafe Tiffin Sambar Ready. serve with Hot Idlies.
This is for 2 ltr Sambar....4 persons. 20 Idlies.
