Today I look at two beachside accommodation places in Amed, Bali, to get an idea of what you might pay for a nice hotel or room on the beach of Amed.
I also take a walk into the local villages where I meet a woman preparing food for her pigs and discuss how many she has and what price you can expect to pay for them.
I also come across a village meeting where I'm invited in and offered food - I accept this with the wrong hand, not using my "clean" one. The men ask me about where I'm from and we have a brief chat.
We come across maybe the most elaborate Bali doors I've yet to see with accompanying windows on either side of them. These are really a beautiful example of Balinese craftsmanship with the intricate carving and finish quite wonderful.
I meet a young guy further on and ask about his day and job below in Amed before heading back to the beach.
Recently I've been concerned with the amount of alcohol I've been drinking and discuss being aware of one of the potential issues with being a single man living long-term in Bali.
