🚨 Why are thousands of foreigners getting banned from the Philippines? Can you really get deported just because your ex complained? What happens if you’re rude to immigration officers? In this video, we break down the rules on exclusion, deportation, and blacklisting—and the shocking reasons why some foreigners are getting kicked out. Correction: Pokwang and O'Brien were not married. They were long-term partners and co-parents. I want to add: If someone files a deportation complaint against you in the Philippines, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) will first check if the allegations have merit. If they find valid reasons, they will conduct a preliminary investigation. As the accused, you have the right to submit a counter-affidavit (your official response). If the BI's special prosecutor still believes the complaint is strong enough, they will issue a charge sheet, similar to a criminal case filing. From there, the case will be reviewed internally by the BI Board of Commissioners, who will deliberate and decide on the matter. Once a decision is made, they will issue a resolution, which could result in deportation and blacklisting if found guilty. If you're staying in the Philippines long-term, it's best to stay informed about immigration laws and ensure you comply with all regulations. 📍50 or Older? Want to Stay in the Philippines Long-Term?
