13 easy ideas for modifying your Lanshan 2 backpacking tent to make it even better! I've developed these using my Lanshan 2 on nearly 100 wild camps in different locations and all seasons.
I hope there's something useful for you!
The factory quoted trail weight of the 4-season standard tent is 1220g + 4-season inner (25g) + footprint (150g) = 1395g
After adding the mods, 2 Delta pegs (48g each), better pegs, extra stuff sac, spare guyline, and side poles (30g each) mine totals... drum roll... 1764g (369g extra)
*update 4/4/2024 - carbon poles for the sides are available here: https://www.bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/product/pole-a-bear-carbon-lifter-poles/
*update 19/6/24 - the 'O 'rings on the guyline modification can be bought in the UK here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266451056688 But I don't think they're essential; Dyneema is tough stuff, and I think it should be OK to just loop the guyline around the loop attached to the top of the tent.
*update 8/10/24 - the round clips that I use for additional tie-out points are here: https://ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/grip-clips/
