Everything you need to know about peep sights! Simple and immediate tip for bowhunters and target archers for to get more consistent accuracy down range. Getting your peep and your sight in circle and circle alignment is something that is often overlooked when it comes to misses in archery.

In this video I cover not only the basics of the topic of peep alignment, but I also go into detail about different types of peeps that are available, lenses that you can use in your peep to clear up your vision (clarifiers and verifiers), apertures for your peep, and how to adjust your scope to get perfect alignment.

I also talk about torque and its effect on your accuracy with your bow and I give some easy and effective tips for correcting a twisted peep when you are on the go.

if you're not getting this one simple thing lined up
you're going to struggle with consistency
proper people alignment is extremely important.

my arrows are still all impacting in the same spot down range
because regardless of what else I'm doing
I'm always centering that peep in the site housing
and that
is the No. 1 important thing when it comes to accuracy down range
is getting those two lined up
getting that circle and circle is really important
because that's
how are you going to be consistently looking through your site
and you are lining up the same way each time
that's gonna tighten your groups improve your accuracy
lining up your peep and your side housing
is my No. 1 tip
for getting the most consistent accuracy out of your bow

you want the size of your peep to match up with the size
of your housing when you're looking through the bow
so if you have two large of a peep or two large of an aperture
you're going to see a lot of blank space around your site
so we want to either have a smaller aperture to match that size
or if you have a dove tail slide like this
you can move it in and out on the bow
to make the scope housing either appear smaller or larger
to match your peep size
if you have too much gap when you're looking through your peep
around your scope housing
then that can cause you to get up down left
right and open your groups up
you're gonna wanna be able to see the torque ring
around your scope housing
if you have a torque ring you want to make sure you can see it through the peep.

when you're at full draw and you are aiming for a long time
you can actually induce pressure into your grip
and cause that sight to torque
and as that sight is torquing
you're gonna see movement of the bow left to right
you need to pay attention that
even if you have your circle in circle lined up
you're not torquing the bow at full draw while you're shooting
and having the sight move off to the side
causing inconsistent hits

a smaller aperture will often clear up your picture down range
however the smaller the aperture
the less light is entering your eyes
and then if you are shooting in low light conditions
early in the morning late at night
bow hunting cloudy days
that can make it really hard to actually see the target
so it's important to get into a real life scenario
when you're selecting your aperture

if you're in a situation where you have come to full draw
and your peep is twisted so you can't see through it
to make a good shot you can without letting down.
