Welcome back to the studio everyone! In this episode of Improvise Like a Pro we're going to take a look at the classic standard "Have You Met Miss Jones," by Richard Rodgers.

There's a lot to unpack here so strap yourself in! We're going to learn how to play the melody as a chord solo, or a chord-melody. This helps us take up harmonic space during a trio performance and makes the melody sound more full.

Next, we'll learn how comp using some new interesting techniques and substitutions for the chord changes. We'll also learn a bunch of different ways to practice scales and arpeggios that fit with the chord changes.

Finally, we'll learn an "improvised" solo that showcases all the concepts we've learned so far. I encourage you to treat this section like a transcription and try to extract licks that you like a lot and use them in your own solos!

As always, thanks for watching! Make sure to like the video and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. Also, I'd really appreciate it if you share the video around, it really helps me out! Thanks again!
