Scales are not boring, dull, unnecessary or pointless things that we have to learn to pass a test or please a teacher. They are incredibly beautiful and if we want to be capable saxophone players, we really need to be comfortable with them. But the see the real beauty of them, it helps a lot if we can play them to a backing track of some kind and in this video, that's what I talk about.
