No hands, no crown, and a time display unlike any other. That pretty much sums up what Belgian independent watchmaking company Ressence is all about. But there's of course a lot more to it than that, and we learn all the ins and outs from the company's Founder and CEO Benît Mintiens.
The brand's legacy started with the Type Zero and Type 1, before doing something revolutionary; filling watches with oil. Benoît explains the reasoning as to why and how, and also the challenges that come along with immersing movement components in oil. The result is watches that look like no other, free of distortion while still being a purely mechanical product of passion.
