Reform UK's Lee Anderson says ‘grooming gang scandal has cast a dark shadow'
Lee Anderson, the Reform UK MP for Ashfield in Nottinghamshire, said the “grooming gangs scandal” has “cast a dark shadow” as he named Elon Musk and Donald Trump as “friends”.
He told the Reform UK East Midlands conference in Leicester: “The grooming gangs scandal has cast a dark shadow on our country. Thousands of young girls raped and abused…we should be ashamed.
“Young vulnerable girls, in broken homes abused by gangs of men, and Labour refused them all a public inquiry. They should hang their heads with shame.”
The audience cheered when Mr Anderson said: “We’ve also now got Elon Musk and President Trump as friends.”
He also took aim at the recently knighted London Mayor Sadiq Khan and once again slammed the BBC for its licence fee.
