This is a story of a missing treasure in California. In 1856 four outlaws commanded by the notorious "Rattlesnake Dick," robbed a stagecoach of $80,600 in gold. Unable to tow all of the gold, half was buried in the Trinity Mountains in California by the leader of the outlaws. During their escape, the leader was gunned down. Being the only man that knew where the gold was when he died, the location of the buried gold died with him.
