This is part 2 of an event named @variegatadankita to celebrate variegated plants (But mostly aroids). In this episode we focus on competition submissions to look at their form, quality, and of course variegation. Contents like this good in a few ways… One is that it encourages people to selectively breed and give quality care for their plants to achieve optimal level of gorgeousness (if that’s even a real word). And another reason to hold these contests is to celebrate plant trends, as they do come and go. We invariably enjoy different species of plants, or even forms, every year as this plant market is ever changing/evolving. In this episode, we celebrate the “it” variegated plants of 2021 and the people who sweat blood and tears to grow them in pristine conditions so we can enjoy them.
