Hi guys, in this video I'm covering which class is better for minions. Either Infernalist or Gemling Legoinnaire. The same dps gear is used for both classes, and the gemling has an extra sapphrie jewel. From my testing the Infernalist is the better class and I cover why in the video.
The infernalist just has access to things that the gemling does not. The witch starter nodes has a bunch of extra minion dps which gives the infernalist the flexibility to sacrifice other minion dps nodes for ES. The infernalist can have a very similar amount of eHP with the dog and altered flesh and all the ES you can take; while, having very competetive dps.
The witch starter nodes give the DPS edge to the infernalist as well and since the gemling doesn't have access to those passive nodes any gear that the gemling uses will always better on the infernalist. As far as DPS goes tho it really doesn't mean anything after 7M DPS. Xesht dies .2 seconds slower, and both classes perform exactly the same in Simulacrum +4. I only show the Xehst side by side. Simulacrum +4 is the same for both classes.
There's also a large gap in spirit difference that's really hard to ignore with my play style.
The gemling is easier to gear tho since it uses CI, which is nice; but it doesn't save you that much currency in the long run. The +1 Gem level on the gemling doesn't actually make up for the damage increase from the witch specific starter nodes. My level 39 snipers on infernalist do more damage than my level 40 snipers on gemling.
Let me know in the comments if I'm missing something, new league is around the corner and we want to be ready!
