I think we've all met someone at this stage, who is a self proclaimed 'influencer'. And it's giving me the ick. From dishonest paid reviews, to literal false advertising (yes Mikayla Nogueira, i'm looking at you!), to out-of-touch rants about how “hard” their lives are. It's giving entitlement. out of touch privilege. and a severe case of self entitlement. if your full time job is posting a 3 minute video of you eating sausages, then i'd say you have it pretty easy compared to a lot of people.
Would it be too much to ask influencers to retain an ounce of humility? A touch of gratitude? Apparently, yes.
