প্রবাদ আছে, জোর যার মুল্লুক তার। এই কথার বাস্তব উদাহরণ যেন ফিলিস্তিন-ইসরায়েল। এক সময় যে ভূখণ্ড ছিল কেবলই ফিলিস্তিনিদের, যেখানে আশ্রয়ের আশায় হাজির হয়েছিল ইহুদিরা, এখন সে জায়গার বেশিরভাগই ইহুদিদের দখলে। ফিলিস্তিনিরা সেখানে উদ্বাস্তুর মতো দিন কাটাচ্ছে। এখানো স্বাধীন রাষ্ট্রের স্বীকৃতির আশায় দিন গুনছেন ফিলিস্তিনিরা। আশার কথা হচ্ছে, ইসরায়েল ও যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের পরম বন্ধুরাও এখন সরব হচ্ছে স্বাধীন ফিলিস্তিন রাষ্ট্রের জন্য। কোন কোন দেশ স্বীকৃতি দিতে সম্মত হয়েছে, সেই তথ্যসহ এখন পর্যন্ত স্বীকৃতি দেয়া ১৪০টি দেশের মধ্যে কয়েকটির নাম ও ফিলিস্তিন-ইসরায়েলের ইতিহাস সংক্ষেপে তুলে ধরেছি।
