A quick explore of the interiors and exteriors of Longannet Power Plant, including: the coal belts, mine entrance (I assume) , railway tracks, turbine hall and chimney. Most of the plant has now been demolished.
The now ruined power plant became operational in 1970 and closed in 2016. At one time it was the largest coal powered plant in Europe. The station consumed up to 4,500,000 tonnes a year when running and was voted the biggest polluter in Scotland. Not the easiest expore as security patrol the grounds.
Apologies for the shakey camera at some points as the video is quite old.
