To give their young son a lifelong love of nature, Cleo and Shea Petricek designed their home and gardens around family and neighborly engagement outdoors. As it turned out, their gardens and front yard playground comforted the neighborhood when the pandemic shuttered families. For her beloved mom, Cleo planted flowers for wildlife and fragrant roses. Shea crafts garden structures in a contemporary red barn workshop, framed by plants favored by butterflies and bees. Neighborhood kids bike over to watch gregarious Nigerian dwarf goats frolic on the back’s terraced cliff.
Thank you to The Brew's Michael Rodriguez for the lovely music “Luna Llena”!
