Welcome to my afternoon walking tour of Sitio Camansi, a slum community nestled near the Sergio Osmeña Bridge in Mactan, Cebu. While Cebu City stands as the most highly urbanized city in the Visayas, poverty still exists in its shadows—and Sitio Camansi is one such area where resilience and struggle coexist.

🏠 Houses on Stilts: This community is built along the Opon Channel (Mactan Channel), where homes stand on stilts above the water—a testament to the adaptability of its residents.

⛪ Two Unique Churches: Discover the Chapel of Nuestra Señora de Regla and a small indigenous church belonging to the Manobo tribe—though I noticed they weren’t the most welcoming to outsiders.

🌿 A Community with Contrasts: Compared to Metro Manila’s slums, Sitio Camansi feels cleaner and more organized. Despite hardships, life goes on—children play on small patches of green land, and neighbors share stories under the tropical sun.

Join me as I walk through this humble yet vibrant community, offering a rare look into the daily lives of those who call Sitio Camansi home. Don’t forget to Like, Comment, and Subscribe for more raw and real explorations!
