I present one of the most highly requested episodes - Paul Marcellini, a world-famous Anthurium breeder.
Paul proudly shows us his curated Anthurium parent plants for breeding, and the unique traits he seeks when creating new varieties. He also explains the reasoning behind assigning numbers to his parent plants that exhibit phenomenal traits, which… coincidentally, became a worldwide standard for collectors and breeders.

With incredible drive and passion, Paul runs his entire Anthurium operation as a one-man show—everything from hybridizing to packing customer orders.
His lush anthurium haven is one of the most cinematic growing facilities I’ve encountered in my extensive travels.
We start the tour with his garden, which reveals his obsession with various genres of plants that span over 20 years. This includes palms, cycads, begonias, orchids, ferns, platycerium, and thaumatophyllum. The highlight of the garden tour was a large, undescribed variegated monstera that has reached maturity and is now in full bloom!
