In this Insta360 Studio tutorial 5.0 2025 aimed at both beginners and advanced users where we will see the main functions and tools of this Insta360 software for Windows and MacOS, not compatible with tablets or smartphones/iPhone.
Remember that this insta360 5.0 tutorial allows you to make montages, join several videos, transitions, music and titles, as well as reframe videos with good quality.
Pay attention since each 360º video is NO LONGER 2 files with .insv format on the insta360 X4, just one .insv file.
Interface
To add your videos to the Insta360 Studio v5.0, simply click on the "Open" button. We will have several ways of viewing, between "project" or "media" as well as "reframe mode" and "360º view mode" and in addition, you can sort the files by various filters and creation date.
Tools
On the right side we have several tools such as Flowstate stabilization, "direction lock", or stitching functions. Here you can choose between the different stitching options, depending on the accessories you are using on your Insta360 camera, such as lens protectors or the waterproof housing.
In Multimedia Processing you have the Color Plus, Clarity Plus or Aquavision image enhancements, to improve images underwater.
Project management is a very powerful tool, which allows you to save different versions of the same video or photograph and which I recommend you use a lot.
When you open a 360-degree video from the X4 you can modify the image aspect between vertical 9:16, square 1:1 or panoramic 2.35:1, as well as take an image capture. At the bottom, buttons to go to the beginning or end of the clip, play and pause, and the timeline, where we will develop the entire edition, with preview and the trimming tool, to shorten the video, at the beginning or at the end.
You can reframe the video by creating KEYFRAMES, to do this, go to the beginning and click on the "+" button, which will create a point that will determine the angle, rotation and field of view of our reframe. We can create as many keyframes as we want, as well as move them on the timeline, seeing the final result.
Once we have our video reframed and ready, we will click on the button with an up arrow, where we can modify the Video Mode between reframed, or 360º video. The File Name and the folder where we are going to save it and the Bitrate, Resolution, FPS and Codec parameters, with h.264 being the most compatible.
